Why should I do start-up coaching?
Our coaching for founders offers aspiring entrepreneurs and self-employed people professional and, above all, individual support in realizing their business idea. It can take the form of personal consultation sessions here in Cologne as well as online workshops throughout Germany.
It is specifically geared towards mastering the numerous challenges and hurdles of setting up a business. To this end, the program covers all the necessary topics, including the correct preparation of a business plan, applying for financial subsidies or financial advice for the start-up loan, the definition of business goals and strategies for customer acquisition and employee recruitment.
The individual components of our modular start-up coaching can either be dealt with module by module – whenever it is necessary for the next step on the way to setting up a business. Or just individual topics where you feel unsure yourself and would therefore like to fall back on external help. This decision is entirely up to you. And the costs can be customized just as individually as the coaching itself.

We therefore take plenty of time at the beginning to get to know you and your business plans in detail. For this reason, our time together always begins with a completely free and non-binding introductory and initial consultation.
What does start-up coaching cost?
The costs for our start-up coaching are just as individual as our offer itself and therefore vary from case to case. The price depends on various factors such as the scope and type of advice as well as the specific situation of the founder. As a rule, however, we estimate a sum in the range of 3000 to 8000 euros.
Possibility of free start-up coaching with funding via the employment and placement voucher (AVGS)
However, it is also possible to receive free start-up advice if you want to set up your own business without too much equity. For job seekers, for example, using our coaching with the help of the so-called work and placement voucher (AVGS for short) can in many cases even be 100% free of charge.
Such an AVGS voucher can be applied for through the job center or the employment agency after at least 6 weeks of unemployment and can be redeemed for the corresponding coaching service. We would be happy to clarify whether you are entitled to claim this funding and how you can subsequently apply for an AVGS at the employment office directly with you in an initial non-binding and free introductory meeting.
Who can apply for the AVGS grant for start-up coaching?
Such an AVGS voucher can be applied for through the job center or the employment agency if you have been unemployed for at least 6 weeks and can be redeemed for the corresponding coaching service. We will be happy to clarify whether you are entitled to claim this funding and how you can subsequently apply for an AVGS at the employment agency directly and personally in an initial non-binding and free introductory meeting. And if required, in a separate start-up grant consultation.
Promotion of start-up coaching by BAFA
However, for all those for whom an AVGS voucher is not an option, there is the possibility of taking advantage of BAFA consultancy funding. Depending on the federal state, you will still receive between 50 and 80 % of the costs of business start-up advice from the BAFA (Federal Agency for Economic Affairs and Export Control).
